I used to wish the dead could come back to life, even despite all the evidence saying that whenever they do, it goes wrong: vampires, ghouls, ghosts, allips, liches, Pet Sematary, etc.
Now I realise that people don’t ever die as long as there is someone who really remembers them.
We’re all immortal for, say, two or three generations.
