I love those ancestry programmes where it turns out Nefertiti is Alan Whicker’s nan.
It tickles me that a future cultural icon might one day be cockahoop over his Great Auntie Dawn.

Spiderman’s Spiderplans

A boy called Saul, who used to come to the shop to buy varnish and Daleks, claimed to make all his decisions by arachnomancy.
He’d let a spider crawl on his belly and if it went up his chest he’d go out and do something good and if it went ‘south’ he’d go out and do something bad. If it went in his belly button he’d stay home.
