Call the executioner,
My head’s on a stump.
But they’ll be no fight,
No intention of flight,
I’ll accept my fate with good humour.
I refuse to be the last party guest
Who having laughed, sang and danced
Doesn’t know that it’s best
To go.
Now.
I’m not one to outstay my welcome.
