Back to Blighty. I return to England with mixed emotions.
For one, there are still siblings to meet in other countries; interesting characters, that for now, may not feature in my documentary.
On the other hand, I’ll be able to nip into Waitrose for my favourite Potato salad.

I’m not sure whose side to take on this argument. Neither I suppose.
A documentary film maker should always remain objective.
Maybe the windmill will have a calming influence.

Long car journeys can play merry havoc with your skin. My handy hints are to limit the use of air conditioning, drink lots of water and smear tapas on your face – avoiding brie/anything fish based (I learnt that the hard way). Drive safe now.

Snowy is a good name for a car, and she did very well driving back to France.
It seemed a bit weird to name a car after a woman who died in a road accident, but it all seems fine.
I resisted buying more Apple Temptation. I’ve got a bit sick of it. I’m back on the Cacolac.

Dawn reckons elves could live in clouds.
I pointed out that Tolkien’s elves – the Quendi – are as heavy as the sons
of men, so they – or the plant-like Aldryami of Glorantha – would fall
through unless they had some pretty hefty magic. Maybe summon a sylph.
Or an Umbroli. Even then, basic subsistence would be problematic.
She stopped the car and said I was despoiling my business training.
