Back to Blighty. I return to England with mixed emotions.
For one, there are still siblings to meet in other countries; interesting characters, that for now, may not feature in my documentary.
On the other hand, I’ll be able to nip into Waitrose for my favourite Potato salad.

As the maker of shows such as Relationship Ram Raid and Secret Loft Converters I have to take risks. And that means a lot of apologising.
To save me much unnecessary bother, I carry ready made apology letters along with my location release forms.
All I have to do is fill in the detail of the item my production team have broken or lost and then sign at the bottom.
Easy peasy.

My Mum’s next door neighbour once had a strange sensation in the meat and
dairy aisle. She described it as a cross between gentle slapping and pins
and needles in her face. Two Tuesdays later she discovered mould in her
stairwell carpet. Coincidence? I somehow doubt it.
