The experience with Bibi has taught me a great deal.
From this day on I will genuinely value and celebrate my freedom.
I will begin by having a facial, a large gateau and watching Braveheart dubbed in German.
Love and light,
Dawn x

Clothes make the man.
Although ironically most man’s clothes are made by women and children in hot countries nowadays.
Still I find catalogue shopping easy and convenient.

Documentary tip #4
- A Documentary film maker is sometimes denied entry.
- Improvise - always carry radio mics and get a great visual.

I’ve done many things in my life but I’ve never judged a book by its cover. I hope you won’t either - you’ll miss out on some top reads.
Love & Light,

NB - When I wrote this originally, I meant book as a metaphor for person/stranger. Looking back this is also good advice when taken literally.

Unbelievable.
Those flip flops have been through a lot. I’ve been wearing them since Paris. I nearly lost one rummaging for cardboard in Bilbao. Carston spilt paella on one. They got all oily on the beach in Termoli. They have run, jumped, clambered and clung to places I never thought I’d even walk in.
I don’t know whether to struggle on with the left one, or let that go as well. It reminds me of my Dad Who Brought Me Up when my Mum died. It looks forlorn and brave and broken all at once.
It seems wrong for them to be apart.

My last memory of riding on a ski lift didn’t have a happy ending.
1989 - School trip to the Isle of Wight to see the Needles, I saw it as a perfect opportunity to ask a girl out. When she declined we spent the remaining 15 mins in silence.

I’ve been on the funicular railways up Hastings and didn’t enjoy either of them.
But the nice lady said that this (http://www.zinkenstueberl.at) was like sitting in your front room watching a massive 3D TV show about mountains with the sound turned down.
We’ll see.

I’m very much a believer in the great outdoors. Sadly for me, we didn’t have Girl Guides round our way. Luckily for others, I campaigned for several years to join the cubs and single handedly changed scouting history.

I don’t own a lot of clothes, but I get attached to the ones I’ve got.
There are several items of clothing that have lasted over a decade. One baggy top I got in 1989 is still going strong - I use it as a smock for when I’m air-brushing terrain. I’ve got a dark brown T-Shirt that I had to patch in ‘98 after the Armies of the Sommes display collapsed. And I only wear those Judge Dredd socks on my birthday, so they’ve lasted well.
Why throw something away before it’s dead? It’s murder.

The great outdoors – my second home. As a senior patrol leader with the scouts I have vast experience on hiking, camping and survival. I don’t have any badges as I only completed the theory – but it can’t be that different.

I’m enjoying my time in Austria. I’ve taken to shaking my head a lot, so it’s like one long, continuous Timotei commercial.

If I had to be any animal, I’d be a goat.
Not so much for the horns, beard and primitive associations with fertility, but more for the eating anything and the jumping about.
Have there been any superheroes based on goats? I wouldn’t include Ram Man from He-Man here.

Austria. Dawn and Ian say there’s a sibling ‘on an alp’. I’m going to shave off my beard, I don’t think it’s got me much closer to Ian and it’s really itchy.
